About This Awesome Site
Beeps & Boops is a site dedicated to promoting informed discussion of games. To this end, we provide our own commentary (the articles), as well as smaller discussions or promotions of interesting games, writers, or other stories (the blog). While we believe that the majority of gaming criticism is uninspired and (particularly) uninformed, our purpose is not to bemoan the state of anything. We read and enjoy many gaming writers, and while we believe that “thoughtful game critics” are an unfortunately small segment of gaming culture, we mostly just want to take part in those discussions, because they’re discussions worth having.
Our goals aren’t all that complicated. We want to promote the things we think are interesting and worth talking about; we want to be informed, providing you with all of the information we’re drawing on for our articles so it doesn’t look like we’re just making this crap up; and we want to discuss these ideas with other people, so please feel free to respond to our articles and blog entries or contact us.
Beeps & Boops updates as often as the schedules of two people with full time jobs allow. We try to update a couple of times a week and generally do a pretty good job as far as that goes. Stay tuned to our twitter or RSS feed (or both!) for updates.
